A trip to Long-Shan Temple

It was Saturday after a 2-hour-class at school. Some of the students went to Long-Shan temple with me. It was meant to be a "Pray from peach and improvement on academic performance" trip, but when we got there, the focus was completely forgot.

The girls finished praying to other Gods as fast as they could and went to the God of Match-making. Haha... nearly each of them pray for "the thread of marriage" and it made me feel really interesting. It seems that no matter how old a girl is, a happy relationship/marriage is the most important thing to her.

Is this in our culture? Is this because we girls have always been educated that Building A Happy Family is considered the ultimate goal and a trophy for a REAL WOMAN? Or it's simply in Female Gene? When a single woman is successful in her career, people might start bothering her with the MARRIAGE thing. Then when she answers, "I can't find a good one." people will say "That's becasue you are picky." Sigh, it seems the problem is always on WOMEN SIDE.

Haha... in real life, many people choose to settle down with the second best and that's a process of compromising. I am fine with that but if you can be happy all by yourself, why bother to settle just becasue EVERYBODY thinks that YOU SHOULD.
